Liz’s Where I’m From

Where I’m from you here the horns of dollar vans, cursing, coming from the busy Avenue known as Flatbush. The only things that pop up are phone stores, and fast food.

Where I’m from it takes you atleast an hour to get to the city. Brooklyn born and Raised.

Where I’m From outsiders say “What you live in Flatbush?! It;s so dangerous, you don’t look like you live there. I say what is that suppose to mean?

Where I’m From guys are always trying to get the girls attention (Aye Yo Ma, Sweety, Baby, Let me holla). Everyone here wants attention, but usually the bad kind, marking this place I call home, dangerous and ghetto.

Where I’m From outsiders judge you. All I can say is you don’t know Flatbush until you live there.
