Collage poem from Junot Diaz’s “The Brief Wonderous Life of Oscar Wao”

Here is the poem we wrote in class last week:

Pendejo

shitting diablo affixed cheated pajaro
moronic encouraged perrito puta cut
Anathema dune fuckedupness badmash karma
Nineteen voracious chincha flank snickered

What do you think the poem says? How is it linked to Diaz’s writing? Does it mean anything as it stands now? Make-up blog post topic: revise this collage poem into a poem that has more meaning, and explain your changes, the choices you made, and what the new poem means. You might add punctuation, change the line-breaks, add in other words that will make these words more meaningful, repeat some of the words that are particularly important, strive for a particular poetic form (anyone want to change this into a haiku?), or add in additional words, either from Diaz’s work or not.
