Assignment #1: PARALLEL LINES THAT SHOW MOVEMENT

1. Develop 12 thumbnail sketches that explore ways you think may show how parallel lines can show movement.

2. Refine one or two of them considering line thickness, line spacing and craft.

3. On a 11″ x 14″ Bristol paper, draw the final work first lightly in pencil, making spacing corrections etc. Then render it in Sharpie pen, If you change the thickness of the lines, use brush and ink to fill them absolutely black. No streaks.

4. Erase all traces of pencil lines. Put your name on the back of the work before handing it in.
