Excited

I’m excited to start the spring 2021 as a freshman. I’m hoping college will be a better experience than High school was. I feel good about taking classes online this semester because I feel like it will be easier to learn, and stay focused during the semester. Its also good to know that we don’t have to buy course materials so that is relieving.

WORRIED

As a wife and also a mom to two elementary school aged kids who are currently learning remotely, I was worried that I will not find the balance to add coursework to my already hectic schedule. I felt like I would not be able to apply the necessary time and dedication needed to excel in school.  However, I realize that  if I set schedules and get organized, this will make juggling family life and school a lot easier. I also know that if I stay organized, I can find ways to balance time for myself, my family and my coursework. It’s also reassuring to know that if need be, there are lots of online resources available such as online tutoring, library resources to help me succeed with my online program. I know that I can do this successfully if I put the necessary effort into it.

This photo of my family, to me, means that I have the love and support that I need to succeed in life. Also, my family is the motivation that drives me to want to be  the best person that I could be.

Relief
Initially, I was concerned about how I was going to go about purchasing the class material (books). If their would be a way to have the materials mailed to my home, etc. After being informed that we don’t have to buy course material as the professor will provide it, I felt relieved and happy. Relief because it is one less thing to worry about and happy because I can pocket the book expense money (we know how expensive they).
