One genre that I come across a lot and also involve in it is gaming, the convection is this genre are extremely broad. every time a new game is released the way is advertises or talked about is not always identical to the games the came before it, every year companies try to one up each other in the different to sell the game to their consumers. For example, some companies go to the extreme lengths to blatantly lie about their end product this is one way language is used against the consumer. Building hype is a great way to get people within community to talk about your game, this helps spread the word at the cost that if your game doesn’t live up to the hype it will die extremely fast. Another thing is the way people react to first impression of a game. if you ever seen an E3 trailer, you will noticed how the game looks “alive” there’s stuff to do, other character interact with the players, the game so look amazing, this is a way to easily grabs people attentions, giving them the first impression that you might actually have a fun experience playing that game. What makes gaming what it is the mass appeal that it has, there’s a game out there for everybody, whether its made by a big studio or an indie developer.
