UNIT THREE: (4/19-5/17) What is the leading cause of death in the United States (for both men and women)? How do our beliefs shape our intentions and subsequent health behaviors? What is the experience of health among those new to the United States? How can we approach research on these topics more critically? How can we capture social complexities such as race and gender in health research? What social policies from our country’s past have shaped the health disparities still present today? How can I apply all of this to my own experiences with health and decision making? How am I going to spread this to my community (both CityTech and at-large)?
