Final Essay outline

Story : Interpreter of Maladies

Characters : Mr Kapasi, Mrs. Mina Das, (maybe) Mr. Das

Scenes :  

• When Mrs. Das tells Mr K that she had an affair years ago and Bobby isn’t the son of Mr Das. 
• When the monkeys are attacking Bobby because Mrs. Das dropped the puff rise and Mr Das just took pictures instead of acting or helping Bobby  

Thesis : In this essay we will analyze the decisions of Mr. Kapasi and Mina Das in moments of crisis and what they turn to in these times, also what type of ethics they both follow. We will also figure out what type of globalization is shown in the story 

Paragraph 1- Introduce the thesis statement, small summary of the story. And a quick introduction to characters, ethics and globalization. 

Paragraph 2/3 – ETHICS – scenes in which Mr Kapasi shows what ethos he follows and lives life as, and scenes in which Ms Das shows us what ethics she follows and why her charter acts the way she does. 

Paragraph 4 – GLOBALIZATION – scenes that how the story includes globalization
