2016: Valentine Card Printing / Sale

Come to the Atrium area on February 11, 12:30-3:00pm. That’s this Thursday!

The City Tech Printmaking Club will be holding its 3rd Annual Potato Valentine Printing (free to all) and will also have cards printed and hand-printed by members for sale.

Valentine’s Day Action, 2015

We took 5 pound of raw potatoes, some kraft paper, a few really cheap paring knives and proceeded to have a couple hours of amazing fun.

Valentines with the PMC

Oh snap! No class on Thursday, which means no Club Hours! Printmaking Club, join me in the atrium on Friday, Feb 13th at 2:15 – 4pm for an impromptu and unauthorized Valentine Card workshop. I will have potatoes, paper, and paint. Let’s get people excited about what we are starting! I will also have handouts on simple relief printing as every moment is a teaching moment. ‪#‎CityTechPrintmakingClub‬ ‪#‎CTPMC‬ ‪#‎PMCForevah‬

Forming the Club Officially

Here is the page on the City Tech website describing the process.

Student Organization Form
This is a form online, we need to pick a President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary and fill that in today.

Public Data Information
This form is to be completed online. Similar to the Student Organization Form, this form is the information about your club that Student Life will give out publicly.

Hard Copy Forms

Club Rosters
We will fill these out and file them as needed.

Signature Cards
You will need to complete two (2) signature cards with the signatures of the President, Treasurer and the Advisor. These cards are available in the Office of Student Life and Development, G-516.

Club Constitution
You will need to submit a club constitution. Here is a Google Doc already set up, we just need to edit it to suit our needs.

Valentine Card Printing

Okay, after the snow storm prevented my getting to school yesterday, I managed to get here this morning with 20 pounds of potatoes in tow. I set up a booth in the Atrium and had quite a few takers! I signed up some prospective new members and just generally gauged the interest students might have for our club. Turns out, quite a bit!
