We took 5 pound of raw potatoes, some kraft paper, a few really cheap paring knives and proceeded to have a couple hours of amazing fun.

Oh snap! No class on Thursday, which means no Club Hours! Printmaking Club, join me in the atrium on Friday, Feb 13th at 2:15 – 4pm for an impromptu and unauthorized Valentine Card workshop. I will have potatoes, paper, and paint. Let’s get people excited about what we are starting! I will also have handouts on simple relief printing as every moment is a teaching moment. #CityTechPrintmakingClub #CTPMC #PMCForevah

Okay, after the snow storm prevented my getting to school yesterday, I managed to get here this morning with 20 pounds of potatoes in tow. I set up a booth in the Atrium and had quite a few takers! I signed up some prospective new members and just generally gauged the interest students might have for our club. Turns out, quite a bit!
We will be helping you print Valentines on the fly at the Club Fair, details to follow. 12:45 to 2:30, Voorhees Building.
Basically, in order to get people interested in joining the CTPC, we are going to have a little getting-to-know-you session. We will be printing simple valentines with potato stamps and tempera paint. Very exciting stuff!
