Choose 5 of the following 9 questions to answer.

  1. Kiselev 1 page 19 #38
  2. Kiselev 1 page 63 #144
  3. Kiselev 1 page 63 #150
  4. Venema page 7 #0.6.3
  5. See the Geogebra link here for diagram and instructions.
    • Hint 1: use your result from question 4 above.
    • Hint 2: in Geogebra, select the move tool and drag the blue points around to see how the diagram changes.
  6. Kiselev 1 page 133 #345
    • Recall: a triangle is equilateral if all three of its sides are congruent.
  7. Kiselev 1 page 133 #346
    • Recall: a triangle is isosceles if at least two of its sides are congruent.
  8. Kiselev 1 page 133 #351
    • Recall: an altitude of a triangle is the perpendicular segment dropped from a vertex to its opposite side.
  9. Triangles $\triangle ABC$ and $\triangle DEF$ are similar. Lengths $AB = 4$, $BC = 2$, $AC = 5$, and $DE = 6$. Find the lengths $EF$ and $DF$.

This homework assignment took a bit of time as I had to look over proofs and theorems to refresh my memory. The easiest part was doing the simple math calculations while the hard parts being writing out the proofs after looking at theorems to use. Like the first assignment, I worked alone on this and as for resources, I simply used google to look up anything that I needed to check on.

I work by myself, and I use 2 days to solve all the answer, I think number 5 is most difficult.

I use google to search the thing I don’t understand.

This homework took me longer than the rest one , I did different problems on different days. The easiest part for me was figuring out the measures of the missing angles and sides . The hardest part was starting the proof . I used my notes and google as some resources .

I spent more than an hour finishing this homework. Most of these problems were straightforward except #5 and #6. I didn’t work with any of my classmates but myself with some resources for #1 as a reference.
