Hi, my name is Alyssa, and my pronouns are She/Her/Hers. I am majoring in Mathematics Education and have received my AS in Health Science. I decided science wasn’t particularly my cup of tea and i couldn’t retain the information i was leaarning so I didn’t want to become a Radiologist anymore. I found working with children more interesting, which made me condsider becoming a teacher. I decided that I could take my love for math and help the next generation to understand that math isn’t so complex. This semester I am taking many math classes such as Statistics with Probability, Calculus ii, and Foundations of Math Education. After I gradute I am hoping I can start teaching middle school students and showing the importance of understanding the relationship between math and realworld. I would like to make an inprint on my students that there is fun in solving problems and getting worked up in trying to understand equations/word problems.I want to continue expanding my knowldege in the ever changing world of math and being able to show myself and my students that struggling with something is okay but understanging is the goal. I like to watch Anime still in the process of catching up in One Piece but the journey is a blast. I also have a love for the outdoors and if I could I would live in the forest next to a lake where I could read and just listen to the outdoors.
