    Hi Jeffrey. I like that you’ve described in words what’s going on (careful not to say that the denominator of a fraction is undefined if you mean that the denominator is zero so the fraction is undefined). The calculations on the first page are difficult to follow because there are no equal signs and it’s not clear *why* you’re performing these particular calculations.

    One strategy is to label your calculations with the words. For example, “The function is undefined when the denominator is zero.” Then if you can go on to solve where the denominator is zero and the reader knows why you’re doing that. Then separately, you could write, “The numerator is defined only if $7x-3 \geq 0$” and then go on to solve for $x$.

    But it’s just as important to tell us what it is you’re doing in this question. For example, you could start with, “To find the domain of the function $f(x)$, we must determine restrictions of the numerator and denominator.”
