So far my experience with memoir-writing has been a good one. When I think about how to express my idea I start with broad topics and ideas, then I go back to explain them in further detail to really paint a picture of what I am trying to express. All the feedback that I have received has been very constructive and positive. It has been a good tool in being able to better my work. Explaining events from your perspective is such a complex way to share thoughts, ideas, feelings, and opinions that someone might have never thought of or experienced. This makes me think of a quote “you can be the villain in someone else’s story ” , because everyone has a different point of view. There are always three sides to every story.

Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation via email that you should keep all semester. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance. I suggest you have multiple times in mind, since your schedule may not mesh with mine!
