Writing poetry was fun. To be fair, half of my poems were things I had previously written, but I really liked them enough that I wanted to put them out there for people to see. The other two I just went off the strength of poetry being able to be about anything. I couldn’t think of anything new to come up with on my own that felt natural, and someone’s favorite poem (one of them at least) was Bruce Banner #3, so that greatly influenced me to make of a stream-of-consciousness, “shower thoughts” collection poem, because I think about things a lot. It didn’t end up capturing my most absurd or philosophical thoughts, but it was how I felt at the moment. In a similar fashion, I decided to collect the thoughts of others in the form of quotes that I have saved that resonated with me enough to hold on to them.
