I really enjoyed that Anne Patchett used imagery throughout her whole book when describing her experience. In one of her quotes, she described when she was moving out to another state and her step-sister was helping her, she described every bit of detail. She exclaims “it was a very hot sticky day…. the Eminem’s were melted and we licked it off our fingers”. My question is “how did you guys end up having your first kiss to the same boy? how’s that even possible?”

Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation via email that you should keep all semester. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance. I suggest you have multiple times in mind, since your schedule may not mesh with mine!

I agree with you, that I also enjoyed the Imagery Ann Patchetts used in her work. It kept me really engaged and having me want to read on. I really enjoyed how she described how hot it was in the U-Haul and how descriptive she was on how Lucy looked.
I agree that Ann Patchett used imagery throughout her writing. Patchett really added a lot of details in her work and it really helped visualize the characters and the setting.
