This was a very interesting read. I really enjoyed the detail and candidness of Pratchett’s writing, it comes across as very honest, not just about herself, but about those around her, particularly Lucy. Once upon a time, I once had a friend who ended up becoming someone like Lucy, or rather, ended up falling to into the same predicament, although having the insight I did, the signs were always there. So it was more like a logical conclusion of sorts, you could say. What I’m curious about is what happened to Lucy. Is she alive (at the present time of the narration)? How did she end up leaving? Do they maintain contact (to the present time of the narration), or were those letters also from a past time?

Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation via email that you should keep all semester. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance. I suggest you have multiple times in mind, since your schedule may not mesh with mine!
