When I began the process of writing my poems there were a lot of things, I have learned one of them includes using your mind to brainstorm and connect different events together. When I began to write my poem, I wanted to write it in a way that matches my problem that my own family is facing today. The poem needed to reflect the struggle we went through this year. I wrote several drafts before I was like ok this is good. My other technique to writing a very good poem was to look at examples from other students. Then I got into a mood of thinking which helped me bring about so many ideas which I brainstormed and began to write within no time. I also had to pay attention to the little details because I feel like working on them can strengthen the message of my writing. I wanted to connect the story of my mother to the peace and well-being of life.   I really felt that no one would be there to help us when we are down that’s exactly what my poem was about. No one in your family there is only one person who would take care of you that being your mother and father. No one would love you more than your own blood (mother) she cares no matter the situation. This is why I want my poem to be focused on one individual in life which is my mother. When we are sick our mind is the only place of peace not only in this type of situation but in life. This something I always tell myself  because if I feel good in my head, I feel very calmed and peace. And the other message I wanted to highlight in my poem and the process was about how every day in our life is a new opportunity. I used this saying because every time my parents or I made a mistake we tried correcting it and moved in our daily life.
