Poetry writing was something I was a bit worried about jumping into mainly because I don’t write poetry and I feel as if I don’t have enough creativity to make a good poem. However, after seeing some examples on the poetry website and using that as reference to create our own poems, I found that it helped a lot. My favorite poem I’ve written during this assignment was my alphabetical poem. I found an alphabetical poem on the site where it was on a specific topic but since I couldn’t think of anything I chose to just write whatever came to mind and surprisingly I finished that poem in less than 10 minutes. Everything sort of flowed through my mind and i was truly surprised because in High School I used to take days to create just one poem. Overall, poetry writing was pretty cool and I was surprised I did better than I expected.
