My experience with poetry writing was honestly a bit difficult from the five that I’ve done. With poetry, I wanted it to make it more about how it can relate to me and my life overall rather than making poems about random things that I never would think of. While the majority of them didn’t rhyme, I don’t think it needed to. I wanted it to have different types of stanzas from the book we’ve looked at in class, but I didn’t know how in the immediate time that I had to do it. Otherwise it was a great experience to learn more about what I wanted to talk about. While it was a bit challenging to think of what to say, I did know what my titles where from the beginning. When I thought of the 4-5 titles for the poems, it would be the groundwork of what I wanted to write from start to finish. If I have a change to do poems like how it was in the book, then I would really consider doing that for the two poems we have to revise for this upcoming class. Would I do more poems in the future? I hope so, even if it’s for fun.
