I’ve always wanted to get a dog since I was little. The only problem was that my parents never allowed us to get one. That was until last year when we decided to get one. We adopted our dog late last year and his name is Benji. When we got Benji we drove upstate to get him from some people that were selling him. We ended up picking Benji because he came to us and stayed next to us when we came to visit. While we were visiting all the other puppies didn’t stay for long but he didn’t leave our side. After seeing that we decided to get him. We aren’t sure what breed he is but we think he’s a cavapoo. Currently, his fur is a caramel color, and we aren’t sure if this will change as he gets older. So he’ll end up looking fluffy as he gets older. The first day that we saw him he seemed like a pretty calm dog so we decided to get him. As of right now though he’s pretty chaotic and has tons of energy and loves to play. At times hell just follows you all around the house trying to explore and discover new things. He seems to never get tired no matter how much he runs around. Benji can be somewhat of a headache sometimes because he constantly destroys all of the toys we get him even the ones that say they are “indestructible”. Overall it’s been pretty hard trying to train him because we aren’t sure what we are doing. We are watching videos on how to train puppies and attending this class to learn how to train them with certain commands. Its been an interesting experience getting a dog because I’ve had to learn everything with no prior knowledge. Having Benji in our lives has made the family closer. Mainly because we weren’t that close with one another but now we have something to bond over. Also seemed to more the people in the house calmer. I don’t see my life without him anymore because it wouldn’t feel the same anymore. I’m used to having him around all the time.
