I choose to do a speech because I feel like that way the audience is broader and I can address the issues of my discourse communities to other people. Especially since not only do our issues affect us but other members of society.

My general thinking process as to outline my speech is by first introducing the topic cleverly to capture the audience, introduce the problem, then explain why it is a big issue to us and how to fix it.
