The definition of Civil disobedience is the refusal to comply with certain laws or to pay taxes and fines, as a peaceful form of political protest. And some in order for it to be “civil” it needs to be nonviolent so it is sometimes equated to peaceful protests or nonviolent resistance. Since Antigone went against her government and the people in power in her society she committed but didn’t harm anyone but bury her brother, she committed civil disobediance.
