I think it was important because it was an easier version of the greek play and by that people can understand it better they wanted to tell people about the problems that we are facing especially the killing of innocent people. I think they included people from the police force because in Antigone it showed police brutality, not directly but indirectly because police are people with power so they can do whatever they want to do just like how Creon did. Watching Antigone and Ferguson did change my view of the original play because when I watched it, I could see how the people were actually feeling but when I read it, I couldn’t really tell.

Class Meetings & Times: in person Mondays and Wednesdays, 2:30 – 3:45 PM in Namm 523A
Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12 – 1:30 PM. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation via email that you should keep all semester. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance via email. I suggest you have multiple times in mind, since your schedule may not mesh with mine!
