The creators of Antigone in Ferguson wanted to attract people who typically wouldn’t attend something like this because the creators wanted a big discussion after the play which would only be possible if there were people of different backgrounds and different viewpoints towards the situation at hand. They also included the police force since a lot of the points made during the play showcases police brutality seen from one perspective, therefore the creators probably thought that including the police perspective would add greater sense of clarity when it came to the overall meaning of the play. Watching Antigone in Ferguson did change my viewpoint since after reading Antigone I had a sense of feeling that she was irrational and hotheaded which still carried on through the play but the part that had changed for me was the feelings behind the context after watching the play I had gained those feelings and understood why Antigone did the things she did.
