In the Antigone passage, you can see a strong argument between two sisters about a very important decision, burying the brother of Antigone and Ismene. Antigone wanted to respect her brother’s memory with an honorable burial while on the other hand, her little sister Ismene disliked the idea because she wanted to respect the laws created by Creon because he stated that Polyneices would not receive a proper burial because he committed treason against his own city. With these pages, it’s shown a variety of beliefs and objectives of each character, Antigone is shown as very brave, firm, and loyal because of her need to honor the dead, especially his family. Ismene seems like a shyer, submissive kind woman, she doesn’t want to misbehave or unfollow the rules made by her “superiors.” This gives me an idea of how interesting it could be to turn this into a movie, giving me the conclusion that Antigone would look great being played by Brie Larson for various reasons, she is a strong woman not just in her appearance but also in mentality. While in the other hand I would choose Chloë Grace since she is young and has an innocent personality which would fit perfectly.
If Creon could have lived in today’s times, which are very modern, for which everything, almost, if not everything, is digital, he could share his idea formally on various platforms, but in my opinion, Twitter would be the perfect fit because of the threads that it has, a lot of people uses this social media to share stories or arguments so it would also help others to understand his point of view as well as respond and keep a conversation asking questions, etc.
