There are simply no pros to pineapple on pizza. “It may be healthy,” says my classmate, but I personally have a distaste for it so strong, health does not matter. I have tried this noxious dish. My mother once ordered it for me. Let me tell you what ensued: do you know what happens when you taste something so disgusting, that you can’t even swallow it? You have to spit it out?
That’s what I, in fact, did.
What’s your views on pineapple pizza?
Hi Class. We heard, first day, about how people come to school in the morning and otherwise just prepare to leave the house.
Some of us talked about how we decide how to get dressed (what’s the weather like outside?);
Some of us have a specific morning “rituals”;
For others, it’s really just down to a decision of whether to wear a hoodie or not. Or rather, which hoodie.
Hit “Comments” above and respond to one of the topics in the title of this post — your choice. Either “Hoodies (are the best)” or “How I Decide What to Wear in the Morning.” If you did not join our OpenLab course site by the second class (and you know who you are) this little “Comment” exercise is required. Please write at least a paragraph. Thank you.
Welcome to our course website. Please be sure to check the ASSIGNMENTS page (above) regularly so that you are clear what is due for next class. Look around. We will discuss the grading policies and the syllabus next class.
And, once you become an OpenLab Member and request to “join” this course site, you, too, can contribute to our Online discussions.
We briefly explored the concept of “prisoner letters” in the use of literary constraint. If you are interested, check out more at this link here.
A Void and Gadsby are lipograms. Read more here about lipograms if you are interested. For instance, here’s the poem “Mary Had a Little Lamb” straight, then without the letter “s” and then without the letter “a.” People really enjoy rules when it come to writing:
Original
Mary had a little lamb
Its fleece was white as snow
And everywhere that Mary went
The lamb was sure to go
He followed her to school one day
That was against the rule
It made the children laugh and play
To see the lamb in school
Without “S”:
Mary had a little lamb
With fleece a pale white hue
And everywhere that Mary went
The lamb kept her in view
To academe he went with her,
Illegal, and quite rare;
It made the children laugh and play
To view the lamb in there
Without “A”:
Polly owned one little sheep
Its fleece shone white like snow
Every region where Polly went
The sheep did surely go
He followed her to school one time
Which broke the rigid rule
The children frolicked in their room
To see the sheep in school
