Hi all,
I can’t believe that the semester is almost done! Here is a list of all the projects you will need to have finished by next weeks critique.
List of Project Deliverables:
- Logo (3 versions of the same logo) â Illustrator
- Silhouettes â Illustrator
- Business cards â Illustrator
- Composites ( three compositions) Photoshop
- Book Cover/Album Cover â Photoshop/Illustrator
- Sound Design â Spooky â Audition
- Mashup â Audition
- Movie Trailer â Premiere
- cinema-gram â After Effects
To upload larger files such as an .mp4, or .mov you have two choices: In Premiere once you have exported your project as an h264 you can upload it to your Google Drive and then navigate to âshareâ (make sure thatâ anyone with the link can view â is ticked) and copy the link. This link should then be pasted into a post in your Open lab. You may also upload to Youtube and share the link from there. For Aftereffects you may render in the program itself (make sure that you see where it is saving) or use Media Encoder. Then again upload to your shared Google drive or Youtube. From there, copy the link and again paste to a post in your Open lab. Iâm looking forward to seeing everyoneâs completed work!
Ok back to today I’m going to introduce After Effects:
Lecture â Introduction to the After Effects environment : special effects, motion graphics, text in motion. composition, importing, keyframes, masks.
Group project: Adobe AfterEffects to create a 10 second bumper that combines at least one video, one still image and some text.
The prompt is âTime Travelâ
You can find many free videos and images on Pexel.
Your last assignment is to create a cinemagram in Aftereffects. Create a 10 second bumper in which you mix at least one still photo and one video to create a 10 second piece. Experiment with text, the transformations, effects, key framing, blending modes, and simple animations. Challenge yourselves.
prompts: You may create an individual project with the prompt Time Travel or Climate Change.
The prompts are open to interpretation and as always if you have another idea feel free to run with it. Excited to see what you come up with!
