Getting accustomed to a professional environment was quite difficult for me in the beginning. Since this was my first internship, I had never been part of a professional team before so there was a lot for me to learn. It’s important to learn a work and personal life balance and always effectively communicate about what is happening in your personal life if you are feeling stressed or unable to make a deadline. I also learned how to take critique and improve my work. It’s important to know that it’s okay if you and your client have a different vision and aesthetic for a project. It’s not about what you like and what you don’t like it’s always about what works.
