Before becoming an official intern on the Faculty Commons design team, the chosen interviewees had to go through a week long process of training. During the training me and the other candidates learned about what FC was and how important their role is to the City Tech Faculty. We went through all the main components that were important to know to be a part of the team which included effective and professional communication through email, the file naming system and the important dimensions for their website banners and the City Tech website banners.
As training moved forward we had to do two individual projects and one group project. On the last day we showcased all of our work and presented our group project deliverables, which was the deciding factor for who would be selected as an intern. It was a hectic but it was a fun process and I learned a lot along the way.
