Spiral Tower is a multipurpose building consisting of office space, a co-working space, and a retail area. The inspiration for the design of the building is derived from an abstract piece on the interpretation of what a workplace should be like; Adaptive Space. An iteration of the initial piece to simplify the idea was created, then overlayed on a map of the given site. Upon further inspection, it was noticed that some of the radial lines from the circle in the center aligned with places of interest in the city such as the Rockefeller Center, the Chrysler building, and Hudson Yard; just to name a few. The design developed so that each one of the blocks on the staff would be oriented the respective direction.
