Bio

Adam Catronio is embarking on his final semester here at City Tech in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management. He has earned an associate degree in liberal arts from Palm Beach State College in south Florida and he has received an associate degree in applied science from CUNY NYC College of Technology. Adam has a solid 3.8 GPA and is on track to graduate from City Tech in fall of 2017 with a bachelor degree in hospitality management. His current goals are to successfully complete 18 credits of coursework in the fall term, examine internship opportunities, and to further grow as a leader and to continue to develop my professional self.

Adam has been volunteering in his department since his first semester. This is how he was introduced to The Ambassadors (formerly The Food & Wine Club) and fulfilled the role of Director of Operations for one semester. He has also received a certificate of appreciation on behalf of the contemporary cuisine class for volunteering his skills as a prep cook for a formal service. Other notable achievements include being a Partridge Invitation Scholarship recipient for the school year 2016-17 as well as Dean’s List Honors for three semesters.

Outside of work and school, Adam enjoys musical artists such as Tori Amos, Björk, Lana Del Rey, and The Black Keys as well as practicing culinary skills in the kitchen at home. He also very much likes creative writing, bold coffees and grassroots activism!

ACF Student Club

American Culinary Federation (ACF) Student Club is dedicated to sharing professional knowledge and skill with both members and nonmembers. Our mission is to provide opportunities that further the culinary education and experience of our students. We seek to support life-long learning, professional success, development of culinarian community and futures. As a club we will organize events to promote culinary arts through demonstrations, culinary competitions and developing industry connections. To aid in this mission we will do fundraising and provide volunteers to support achieving these goals. The Club will be participating in community service events and holiday meal preparation for community-based organizations. We hope to make meaningful contributions to the hospitality industry.
