Where Are All The Black People 2024

Since 2011, Where Are All The Black People? has been uniting and amplifying Black voices within the advertising community. What began as a joking-but-not-joking remark at an agency party so many years ago has become the advertising community’s preeminent diversity conference and career fair, pushing back against the ad world’s diversity deficit. Every year, industry talent from students to C-Suite attend WAATBP to celebrate successes, address setbacks, build community with their allies, and ultimately find their rightful place at the table.

WAATBP 2024 is back on Thursday, September 26 and Friday, September 27. Last year, we had a record 850+ in-person attendees and this year promises to be bigger and bolder. The conference will kick off virtually on Thursday with online versions of the recruiting sessions and portfolio reviews that have been a hallmark of WAATBP for years. In the evening, we will host an in-person networking reception for mid-level talent. The action will continue on Friday, September 27 at the bright and spacious Convene at Brookfield Place in downtown New York City. The recruiting sessions and reviews become that much more personal when they are face-to-face encounters!

Beyond the hustle and magic of those activities, the day will kick off with an inspiring keynote, and be followed by thought-provoking panels, eye-opening discussions, and workshops that are guaranteed to get you thinking about your role in the industry in new and exciting ways. Throw in plenty of activations and networking opportunities, a delicious lunch, and — if tradition holds true — a party that’ll send you into the weekend with style! Whether you’re a student looking for their first big break, a creative with some years in the game, or an executive with wisdom to bestow on the next generation, WAATBP 2024 promises to raise the bar — for Black talent and allies alike.
