Faculty/Staff Workshop: Getting Started with Instructional Web Design

The City Tech Library, in partnership with the Faculty Commons, is pleased to invite all faculty and staff to a workshop. Learn to design web pages for instructional use, including layout and navigation, color and graphics, and developing effective content. We will look at beginner HTML, the basics of creating and posting on WordPress-based sites, and other online alternatives.

Faculty Workshop: Learn to Blog and Use Twitter

The City Tech Library, in partnership with the Faculty Commons, is pleased to invite all faculty to a library workshop. Blogs continue to change how scholarly ideas are expressed and exchanged. Workshop participants will learn how to set up and maintain a blog using WordPress, how to use the Twitter microblogging service, and how to find scholarly information in the “blogosphere.”

Anyone Can Blog (And So Can You!)

Blogs continue to change how scholarly ideas are expressed and exchanged, and impact teaching and learning as well. Participants will learn the basics of setting up and maintaining a blog using WordPress, and finding scholarly information in the “blogosphere.”

Blogging Workshop – May 7th

Anyone Can Blog (And So Can You!): How To Create Your Own Blog and More
Blogs (web logs) are continuing to change how ideas are expressed and exchanged. Wednesday, May 7th, 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM, the library will present a workshop on blogging. The workshop will be in the library’s electronic classroom on the 5th floor of the library.
Participants will be learn how to create their own free blogs using WordPress or Blogger. We will demonstrate how you can create and maintain your own blog. Prior computer programming skills are not required.
