New eresources: SpringerLink and GreenFILE
SpringerLink is a very large ejournal collection in a variety of disciplines including science, technology and medicine.
GreenFile (EBSCO) covers green issues for the lay person. It is an index.
Both GreenFILE (Ebsco) and SpringerLink are now accessible on-campus. LibraryBuzz readers will be updated when both are available off-campus and SpringerLink is added to the Find-It function and our ejournals A to Z list (Serials Solutions).

Welcome, Prof. Maura Smale!
The library department welcomes Assistant Professor Maura Smale. Maura comes to City Tech with an MA and PhD in anthropology from NYU, an MLIS from Pratt, and a BA from The University of Chicago. Her previous library experience includes work as an adjunct at Brooklyn College, where she was a reference and instruction librarian.
Besides teaching experience (anthropology, NYU), Maura was Project Manager/Online Editor for American Express Publishing (Food and Wine, Travel and Leisure, etc.) and Production Supervisor for Disney Online. Before that she engaged in archaeological fieldwork. She has a number of publications in print or in press–in archaeology and library resource management.
At City Tech, as Information Literacy Librarian and Coordinator of Library Instruction, Maura will lead library efforts to expand and enhance the work we do in these areas.
Two Wilson products on trial
ERAC (CUNY’s consortium for electronic resources) is trialing these Wilson products. Trial expires May 31, 2008. Please note these products, as are all trial items, are available only on-campus.

Upcoming Collection from The Metropolitan Museum of Art: Willi Visit this link am Keighley Collection
ARTstor will add 1,000 images of the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela from the William Keighley Collection at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The collection contains depictions of geographical terrain and exteriors/interiors of religious buildings, including architectural details, applied arts, and works of art. Additional Photographs from the George Eastman House
ARTstor reached an agreement with the George Eastman House to add approximately 13,000 images to the Digital Library. Agreement with Connecticut College

ProjectMuse Redesign coming in August, article display change now
From an announcement from Project MUSE: Project MUSE plans new look for web site; new article format launching in April. Project MUSE is pleased to reveal plans for a significant redesign of its web presence at http://muse.jhu.edu
The launch date for the new site design is August 2008. Among the goals of the redesign are more intuitive navigation among and within both content and informational pages, compatibility with emerging web standards, support for selected Web 2.0 functionality, and an enhanced online experience for users and librarians utilizing MUSE in teaching and research.Prior to the main site redesign launch in August, some new features will be rolled out in the intervening months. Specifically, some MUSE journal articles will begin appearing in a new format during the month of April. The appearance and layout of the article page have been enhanced to provide users with more functionality and more information specific to the article, such as its DOI and the LCSH (Library of Congress Subject Headings) assigned to an article.
Initially, the new design will apply only to newly-produced journal issues/articles; older articles will be gradually converted to the new look over the next 18 months. As conversion of back articles progresses, users may see both old and new formats for articles in their search results. Currently, the new format applies only to the HTML version of articles; a new PDF format will launch with the main site design in August. The advance launch of the new article design is happening in part to coincide with a new XML production process at MUSE, which is expected to increase efficiency and create opportunities for expanded functionality.
