Are you looking for a last-minute addition to your schedule? Did you know that you can take a class in the library for college credit? This semester, the library is offering Research & Documentation for the Information Age, a course in which students explore where information comes from and the ways in which it can be organized in different types of media. Students will create research and documentation projects using both traditional and emerging technologies. We’re all excited about the upcoming year, and are looking forward to welcoming new and returning City Tech library users to the library. We’ve got lots of great things planned for the upcoming year, so stay tuned to this blog about for announcements about upcoming workshops, exhibits, special events and happenings in and around the library. They’re Here! E-Mail Alerts for Google Scholar Now Available Direct from Google
Until now, Google Scholar users had to use a variety of methods to create alerts to notify them of new content in Google Scholar. Well, the wait is over and as of this weekend, Google Scholar E-Mail Alerts are now available. It’s Google, of course they’re free.

Interlibrary loan for students coming July 1
As of July 1, the City Tech Library provides Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services for students who need articles that cannot be obtained from the library’s print and electronic collections. Most articles are delivered to ILL users’ accounts as PDFs that can be downloaded and printed. Students may sign up for an ILL account here and begin placing requests immediately. Student users may have up to 5 active requests at one time.
Students are encouraged to use CLICS to request books that are available in other CUNY libraries but not at City Tech. Reference librarians are happy to help students locate books elsewhere in the biblio-universe.
