Welcome Back!
We hope you all enjoyed the Thanksgiving break. As we head into the final stretch of the semester, we’d like to remind you of just a few ways that the library can support your work.
Research Appointments! Are you working on a research project this semester? Why not talk to a librarian about research strategies? Librarians are available to discuss your work at any stage of the research process, from developing your research question to organizing your findings. Sign up for a half-hour appointment here.
Research Help on the Web. The library website has a collection of help menus, subject guides and tutorials to help you get started.
As always, librarians are available to work with you at the reference desk during library hours.
.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Ever wondered why you feel so tired on Thanksgiving?
If that’s not enough, you can learn about the history of food and holiday traditions by visiting our e-book collections!
Have a great weekend. We’ll see you when the library reopens on Monday, Nov 26th.

Learn to navigate library resources using our online tutorials!

Mastering library tools and resources can take time. If you are stuck, or if you’re not sure where to get started, take a minute to look through our growing list of tutorials! We are working to develop and expand our collection of online tools, so let us know what kind of online research support YOU would like to see on the library website!

Election Day Reminders!
Have you voted yet? Do you know where your polling place is? If you are unsure, or if your polling place has changed due to the aftereffects of Hurricane Sandy, it’s not too late! To find out where YOU can vote, simply type your address in to the NYC Board of Elections Poll Site Locator to find out where to go.
Reminder: Anyone who is registered to vote in NYC is entitled to vote in NYC. If you arrive at a polling place and your name IS NOT on the books, ask to be given a PROVISIONAL BALLOT. You will be able to submit your vote, which will be filed with the appropriate jurisdiction. If you are told otherwise, speak to a manager or look for an election observer outside of the polling place.
Daylight Savings Ends this Sunday, Nov 4th
It’s that time of year again. Don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour this coming Sunday, November 4th.

Classes will resume tomorrow. The library will be open until 5:00pm today.
As you know, public transit has been greatly disrupted. Before you leave home, consult the MTA website to find the latest information about which trains and buses are currently running. Today’s map can be found here. Information about Brooklyn/Manhattan shuttle service can be found here.
Have questions, but can’t get to the library? Contact us by one of the methods listed on this page. Stay safe!
