Blog concerning “Online Privacy and Facebook’s Privacy Trainwreck

In this short written summary or analysis named Online Privacy, the idea concerning how our online privacy has been bricked by these online predators aka hackers and companies that have the same goal of making a profit from our mistake aka our clicks and search bar result. Well this article profoundly spoke about the ways and methods of acquitted customers being fished online and how companies such Google will try to learn our search results and use them for future revenues and profits. Ads, advertisements online are another front of a smart tracking and tracing methods that most people fall to. The question of if federal privacy policy needs to be updated has many different views and opinions standing behinds it. Some say they will support the move and some say that the federal government will use its power only for negative purposes. Another interesting piece of data that I have noticed in this article is that the author classified the information available for online users a valid meaning reliable or security threatened data and casual data. We as the users of online activities need to be aware of what going on online and how to avoid being tapered into a well developed trap.

In the 2nd article named Facebook’s Privacy Trainwreck, the author of the article focuses only on one interesting topic that does divide into subtopics. The main topic is the privacy implication and the privacy policy change that occurred in the facebook company. The date that was available at facebook was just as an open source file that could be viewed by any one with the most correct knowledge. This is why facebook had implemented a new regulatory programs and mandated programs to up bring the confidence of FB users that do post and share personal knowledge and information about themselves in FB,.As well facebook implemented a new feature called “News Feeds” that displays every action you take on the site to your friends. You see who added who, who commented where, who removed their relationship status, who joined what group, etc. This is on your front page when you login to Facebook. This upset many Facebook members who responded with outrage. Groups emerged out of protest making it hard to follow any thread; the goal was for Facebook to explain its decision. In short, they explained that this is to help people keep tabs on their friends but only their friends and all of this information is public anyhow.facebook sharing “private” data in unexpected and unexplained new ways, but this newest problem is unusual.
