Phase 1: Continue to refine your visual quote. If you have sketches, tighten up your sketches and think about what what tools you want to use to execute your visual quote in digital format. (Final piece will be a jpeg file. Begin to create your design using any application or technique of your choice. (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Procreate, collage, hand drawn elements, etc. Each stage of this project should include a paragraph (or more) about your thought process.  This is not the final art; it is a work in progress. Upload this to your Dropbox folder. (Due next Friday, 10/13/23.)
About This Course
This course introduces students to core concepts in the graphic communications field including typography, color theory, design and production terminology, reproduction processes, file formats and substrates. During the semester, students will complete three pages of their own ePortfolio web site. Lectures will provide students with a historical perspective of the graphic communications field as well as discussing current practices and future trends.
