Hello. This is Kefin Bryan and I’m currently in my last year of college and it’s about time I get an internship. I was searching all over the place but I wasn’t getting anywhere. I applied to the Brooklyn Navy Yard hoping to get accepted, but it turns out I was turned down. Preparing for an internship is not an easy fee and it’s also one of the scariest aspects of life. You’re basically going in there blind with no expertise and barely any work experience. Although if you have some that could be a different story but the point still stands. There are a lot of internships out there that differ from engineering, communication design, music etc. Finding the perfect one for me was a real challenge along with getting my portfolio already along with my resume thanks to my portfolio professor.

Here is my website at https://yuukiredstar.wordpress.com that I plan on using as my portfolio site. I’m using WordPress for data management and uploading some of my work that I have completed in my lifetime that includes during semesters and all my own time. Since I’m more into illustration, I’m trying my best to draw pictures and post them and to make sure I post my best work so I can get a job or a career as a full-time illustrator or even a freelancer. And I believe this internship will help me with that and improve my skills on not only illustration but advertising.

Of course I will be trying my best to apply to internships that suited me with being an illustrator and a graphic designer. I don’t want to take something that I can just do and just forget and just something to put on my resume. I want to take one where I can choose my own schedule and basically just have fun with doing the work and making people’s dreams a reality.
