Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance stars a character who had a rocky starts since his first appearance. After Metal Gear Solid which is considered by many to be one of the best stealth games of all time, the sequel came out starring a new character. Raiden taking over as the main character of MGS2 caused the fans who loved Snake so much to dislike the game and him. Many people thought of him as a pansy compared Snake. He seemed young, seemed to rely on mostly VR Mission training and seemed whiny. MGR:R changes the way everyone saw him.

As a long time fan of Raiden(MGS2 was my favorite MGS game) seeing Raiden become a cyborg ninja in a more action oriented game was a treat. He is shown as a badass character here as opposed to the supposed whiny kid he was before. He also doesn’t rely on stealth as much as he did in the mgs games. The controls play very well. You feel like you’re a cyborg ninja and the “cut what you will” style of the game works well. You can cut enemies into hundreds of tiny pieces. The story of the game is just as good as a MGS game. The characters are ok but could be better with the exception of a few. One of the game’s main antagonists, Samual Rodriguez is a great character. He adds a lot to the story and his playable DLC story makes him his own character, not a reskin of Raiden.

Overall the game is great. I bought the limited edition of the game and do not regret it. The game is very much alive and there is always dlc coming out for it. It gets a 9/10. Very good game. While it does not use stealth as much as the Meta Gear Solid games it does create a solid first game to create an action series out of. Any action game fan or fan of Raiden should look into this.

Injustice: Gods Among Us released April 16, 2013 in the United States. The last DC fighting game released was Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. This game did not do the DC universe any justice and was poorly recieved. Before that the game Justice League Task Force was on the SNES. There have not been many DC fighting games and most of them do not do the series any justice. After the success of the Mortal Kombat reboot of 2011, Netherrealm Studios was put in charge of Injustice: Gods Among Us. The game keeps some similarities with Mortal Kombat but changes some major things.

One major change you will notice if you came from Mortal Kombat is the lack of a block button. Now you block by holding back similar to how you block in the Street Fighter games. Another change is the obvious lack of gore and fatalities in this game. In MK VS DCU, fatalities were given to the MK characters but were off screen to keep the game from getting a mature rating. The lack of fatalities does not take anything away from this game and makes it feel more like a DC game. The story in Mortal Kombat was one of the best in fighting game history. The Story mode in Injustice: Gods Among us is not bad at all. Netherrealm Studios does a good job of portraying Superman as the games main villain.

Injustice: Gods Among Us has a decent roster of fan favorites such as Superman, Batman, and The Green Lantern. The roster also features some characters only hardcore fans will know about like Sinestro, Killer Frost, and Shazam. With the promise of DLC characters NRS promises to add more characters and costumes to the game. The game has a lot of content. It has many single player modes like survival, villains only mode, and a mode where you can fight opponents 1 v 2. The game adds S.T.A.R.S. Labs mode in the place of the challenge tower.

Overall Injustice: Gods Among Us is a great game. It adds a lot of content and makes up for the horrible fighting game titles of DC’s past.  I highly recommend this game and give it a solid 9 out of 10. It is well worth your purchase. While it does lack some characters and has too many Batman characters on the roster it is a solid game. This is a game well worth your purchase.

Dick Grayson has been portrayed in many forms of media. He has been in movies like the Batman and Robin film of 1997 and  the Batman Forever film of 1995.  He has been in the animated cartoon Batman and Robin and as been in the Teen Titans cartoon as the leader of the Titans. In The Dark Knight Rises Robin has been referenced by the character John Blake.  He is an orphan who has has the nickname Robin. Dick Grayson was employed with the police before. Dick Grayson has been in many games including game Injustice: Gods Among Us as Nightwing with his black and blue costume and his New 52 red and black design.

After Batman battles in a helicopter which explodes, everyone assumes Batman is dead. Alfred finds a chamber with a projection of Bruce’s last will and testament with a message for each of his children. He tells Dick not to take up the mantle as Batman because he believes Nightwing and Robin can defend the city as they are. After stopping Jason Todd an saving Tim Drake he takes on the matle of Batman believing it was his destiny. He does not use Bruce Wayne;s design for the suit but takes on a lighter suit to make himself more mobile.  After Bruce Wayne is discovered to be alive Dick goes back to his role as Nightwing. He is currently in his rebooted  series called Nightwing where he wears his red and black suit.

Nightwing in his newer blue and black costume

After being fired by Batman, Grayson  asks Superman what he should be now that he isn’t Robin anymore. Superman tells him of a hero on Krypton who was cast out by his family and set out to protect the helpless. He decides to honor the Kryptonian by naming himself NightWing. He is revealed as Nightwing to the Titans after saving them from Deathstroke.  NightWing  was given his own mini series in the year 1995 due to his increasing popularity.  After the mini series NightWing was given his own full series. The original NightWing costume was based on the outfits of The Flying Graysons. This costume was redesigned as shown above in the 1996 series. In the more recent New 52 comics his costume is black with a red birdlike design over the chest going on as a stripe into each arm. His weapons are two eskrima that can stun opponents with electricity. He uses cables and acrobatics to get across buildings As NightWing he has given advice to and helped train the others who would take his place as Robin.  He has also taken on the mantle of Batman when Bruce was unable to.

The role of Robin has been filled by many different people. Richard “Dick” Grayson is a DC character that has appeared in many comics and was the very first Robin.  He made his first appearance in Detective Comics #38 in April of 1930. Grayson was an eight young boy who worked as an acrobat with his parents in “The Flying Graysons”.  He watched his parents die because of a mafia boss named Tony Zucco who was trying to extort money from the circus.  Dick Grayson  was taken in by Bruce Wayne(Batman) as his legal ward and adopted son.Batman created his costume for him and they fought crime together.  As time passed an he grew up Grayson grew tired of his role as Robin. After being shot in the shoulder by the Joker, Batman fires Grayson because he doesn’t want to endanger him anymore.  Grayson moves out of the mansion and joins the Teen Titans full time.
