OpenLab Assignment #3, Due Thursday, 3/21/2024

Answer these questions honestly and in detail. I am reading them, but the questions and answers are as much for you as they are for me. This assignment must be done in order to get credit for your exam corrections.

1) Are you satisfied with your performance on Exam #1?  What was your grade? Explain why or why not.

2) What did you do to prepare for the first exam.  Do you think it was effective?

3) What do you think you can do to improve?

4) Log in to WeBWorK, then click on “Grades” on the left side. What is your Homework Total percentage?

5) How many Workbook Assignments have you completed and turned in?

6) On a scale of 1-10, how serious are you about taking the necessary steps to graduate from college with a degree?  Do you think your actions over the past month accurately reflect this number?

7) Please find the schedule for tutoring and write it down here.

8) What can Professor Kan do to improve instruction?

  • Submit your work by uploading to Dropbox. Follow the steps on this video to upload as a pdf (multi-page if necessary), and rename the file accordingly:

OpenLab Assignment #1: Upload a 3-page PDF File to Dropbox

Practice uploading a PDF document to Dropbox. This assignment is due Thursday, February 1, 2024.

  • First page: Answer these questions on a piece of paper. Handwrite your answers. You’ll see why later.
  • Second Page: Answer these questions on this worksheet. If you are having trouble with factoring, check out the videos here. You do not have to print it out. You can provide the solutions on a separate piece of paper. Do your best on this!
  • Third page: A doodle! I miss seeing all of the drawings my students put on their quizzes! This drawing can be as detailed or as simple as you like, just make sure it’s lighthearted and fun!
  • Scan a 3-page PDF. Follow these instructions. Your assignment won’t be accepted if it is not uploaded correctly. Rename the file using this scheme:
    • lastname firstinitial date assignment.pdf
    • Use 2 digits for the month and day. August 27 is 08-27 and September 8 is 09-08.
    • Example: If Darth Vader submits his file on March 5 he will name it VaderD03-05drawing.pdf
    • Upload the file to our shared Dropbox folder. Do NOT email me asking if I received the file. Instead, use the comment feature in Dropbox to ask, and I will reply if I received it. Assume I do not see the file if I do not reply.
    • Instructions on using Dropbox can be found here, or here.
    • This assignment is due Thursday, February 1, at the start of class.
    • Name your file: lastname firstinitial 0201 Assignment01.pdf
