Instructions for Exam 1 Corrections, Due Friday, 4/ 5/2024, 11:59pm

  • Do OpenLab Assignment #3.
  • Redo the incorrect problems in full. This means any problem where you got points off, even if the answer is correct and part of the solution is not.
  • Problems must be done correctly. You will receive half the points (rounded up) for a problem that is redone.
  • Redone problems must be done on a separate sheet of paper, numbered, and uploaded as a separate file. Follow rules for using Dropbox and renaming the file.
  • Name the file with lastname firstinitial date exam1 correction.pdf
  • Example: kanb0405exam1correction.pdf
  • Scan and upload your original exam and name it lastname firstinitial date exam1.pdf
  • You do not need to redo a problem that was marked correct. Any problem that has deductions is a problem that is marked incorrect.
  • The problems must be done with a City Tech tutor, ASAP tutor (if you are a part of the program), SEEK tutor (if you are a part of the program).
  • Look on the OpenLab website for the schedule of tutors. Go to “Help & Resources” and “Tutoring” to find it. You can use tutors from the Atrium Learning Center, Perkins Tutoring (Math department), SEEK (if you are a part of the program), or ASAP (if you are a part of the program).
  • Have the tutor or peer leader verify with me that you attended and got help. This can be:

OpenLab Assignment #3, Due Thursday, 3/21/2024

Answer these questions honestly and in detail. I am reading them, but the questions and answers are as much for you as they are for me. This assignment must be done in order to get credit for your exam corrections.

1) Are you satisfied with your performance on Exam #1?  What was your grade? Explain why or why not.

2) What did you do to prepare for the first exam.  Do you think it was effective?

3) What do you think you can do to improve?

4) Log in to WeBWorK, then click on “Grades” on the left side. What is your Homework Total percentage?

5) How many Workbook Assignments have you completed and turned in?

6) On a scale of 1-10, how serious are you about taking the necessary steps to graduate from college with a degree?  Do you think your actions over the past month accurately reflect this number?

7) Please find the schedule for tutoring and write it down here.

8) What can Professor Kan do to improve instruction?
