“Quiet People Have The Loudest Mind” -Steven Hawking
For my project, the quote that Iām going to use is from Steven Hawking āQuiet people have the loudest mindā The idea of the quote is meant to show the shyness or nervousness a person shows in the outside, but the inside they have the idea and such in their mind but nervous to say it out, which often happens in school, work, and many more.
For my first concept sketch of the quote, I wanted to make the word āloudest mindā as the main focus of the drawing by sketching out a person wearing glasses in a profile view, and put the words from the quote āloudest mindā in his head to represent the nervousness the person has in the background but inside of him he has the ideas in mind but nervous to say it in the outside.
For the second concept sketch, I wanted to sketch out a little girl writing down the quote on a big chalk board with the word āloudā written out bigger, but keep the quote stay in their regular size.
For my third concept sketch, I decided to sketch out a person again but this time in a front view position, but in the background I wanted to sketch out his mind being spread out by adding a few swirl coming out of his mind to represent his āloudest mindā being spread out from the emptiness of the background which is his quietness.
Finalization Visual Quotes
For the finalization of the visual quote project, I decided to use adobe illustrator to digitalize the three concept sketches to make the final finish. For the first visual quote, I was thinking about giving the background a warm color by giving it a orange color, the quote in the other hand decided to make the beginning of the quote to start all lower case in a non-bold font known as āGadugiā, and make the last words āloudest mindā as the main focus of the piece by giving the font āGill Sansā a impacted looked by increasing the font size, and placing it in the personās head.
Visual Quote 1 (indesign print)
For the second visual quote, I wanted to make the illustration of a shy little school girl writing on the chalkboard with the quote sheās writing in a hand writing font, but having the wordā Loudestā as the focus of the piece and making the background surrounding her in a greenish color to give that feel sheās in a classroom writing on the chalkboard.
Visual Quote 2 (indesign print)
For the third visual quote, I decided to make the illustration of a person in a front view position having his/her mind being fully opened to reality. For the quote I use a āImpactā font to give that expression feel of the person in the piece feeling impacted with the green whirl coming out of his/her āLoudestā mind from his/her āquietā state.
