Christopher Winter: The Huxley Guide to Switzerland

This Piece was taken from when I visited the virtual “Blue” exhibition at Nassau County Museum of Art.I picked this piece specifically out of the many that I saw at the exhibition simply because to me it looks visually appealing. The painting itself it’s just bright and colorful which attracts the viewer’s eyes to the painting.The way he uses the different shades of blue to paint the mountain that are far away and everything else, It just makes this piece a beautiful one  

Han Qin

This piece was painted by Han Qin. I also took this pic from the Nassau County Museum of Art. This piece caught my attention because it looks like as if people were trapped in the painting, and I just taught that, that was really interesting. Also just like the previous piece the way the artist integrated the two different shades of blue makes this piece really interesting.

“Deep Blue Day” by Jeffrey Gibson.

The last piece I picked is called “Deep Blue Day” by Jeffrey Gibson. I picked this piece because I thought that it was really interesting how He was able to Transform a punching bag which is an item to release tress with aggression for most people into so visually appealing and calming to the viewer’s eye’s in my opinion.

Working on this project was really fun. We was asked to make a a short video, and talk about how we see our selves as students and/or artist.  Although it was fun it was also challenging at the same time.it was challenging because the video had to be 45 seconds or shorter, so we had to figure how what we wanted to say and say it in a short period of time. I learned from this project was basically the basics of video editing.

With my first concept I tried to be simple. I dint want to do to much so what i did was that I created a lock and wrote,  “Legends are forever” inside to symbolize that legend are forever and once some one is view as such then their legacy will always live.

In the second concept I used repetition.Since the quote says that heroes come and go, I felt that using repetition would be the best way to show case that heroes are always coming and going. Then I block the path to the other side to show that to become a Legend you have to be different than everybody else, and that not everybody can be one.

on my last concept I didn’t do anything special I just put the quote over the picture and since the picture had the word Legend in it I just used that as part of my design.
