The outbreak of the coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) has deeply impacted many countries on how one perceives the world, daily lives, and economic turmoil. According to the World Health Organization (2020), a total of 92,151 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed as of June 2, 2020. This number of cases is just a mere amount compared to 6.19M cases worldwide. Life after COVID-19 will never be the same. Specifically, for Canada, following risk mitigation principles and measures are imperative for the health and economic well-being of the country.
Once the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) program which covers 75% of an employee’s salary up to $847 per week terminates on August 29, 2020, one must be prepared and better positioned to resume “normal” business operations following the crisis (O’Conner, 2020). These strict measures include enforcing six feet apart distance amongst employees and consumers, requiring masks for all, washing hands frequently, and disinfecting all hard surfaces as frequently as possible. The most important factor as a business is to adhere to all the rules to ensure the safety of both employees and consumers and at the same time improve the quality of our e-commerce website to provide the best, most reliable, and convenient service possible.
