Canada is home to very few natural resources, however, Alberta (the Prairie province) houses the country’s largest deposit of oil and natural gas in North America which has then “allowed Canada to emerge as one of the 21st century’s major energy-producing superpowers” (thecanadaguide, 2020). 

Exceptional amounts of zinc, uranium, nickel, copper, iron, coal, and diamonds have been found on Canadian land, amongst other minerals.
