I do not have an exact information of actuator of Leap motion, I just assume that there would be a certain electric signal between Leap device and computer device. To get an idea, I searched “Leap motion output”, then found “Leap OSC(Open sound control) source codes via ‘Github.com’. It says “Leap Motion controller data output via Open Sound Control (OSC). Based upon Sample.cpp from Leap SDK, with oscpack integrated to facilitate sending of OSC packets over UDP protocol.”
I checked the source code and there is variables like, ‘handOne/handTwo/fingers/tipPosition’,etc. So I could guess that Leap motion sensor device converts actual information from sensor into electric signals and sends to computer.
