This round of videos focused on the electric processes behind computing and the an explanation of binary systems. Computers gained the ability to perform more complex operations as they grew in size and cost. They grew to meet the demands of a rapidly expanding human population and corporations. The binary system became industry standard due to its consistency and existing infrastructure. Logic operations are used to execute commands based on the information stored within computers. The logic operators are and, or and not. Their outcomes can be expressed in a logic table – these operations are integral to the decision making process of computers. Overall, it was interesting to learn about the different physical elements of computers and the reasoning behind binary switches, as this information is still relevant today.
