Create a color palette for your brand. It should include at least two colors. It should include a variety of light and dark colors. There should be colors for type and for backgrounds. Identify one principal brand color. It should take into account how the color will appear both on screen and in print.

Start by selecting RGB colors. Your mood board is a good place to start. Try using the eye dropper tool in Photoshop to identify the RGB values. Consider also using the Adobe Color tool (see below).

Once you have selected your colors, identify the corresponding CMYK values and a Pantone color for your principal brand color. Create a page that displays both the color and the color hierarchy.

Specifications

  • Due Date: 10/08
  • Format: PDF or webpage
  • COLOR: Create and save your document in RGB color space.
  • Size: match your mood board

Grading

I will be grading your project with this in mind:

  • Comprehensiveness (does it include RGB, CMYK, and Pantone values?)
  • Versatility (will it work in different media and layout types?)
