Pattern & Texture Lines

This pattern reminds me of this blanket my grandmother used to have on the couch. It makes me nostalgic for when I was little and would stay in her house for the day. Cozied up on the couch with the blanket and my chocolate milk mama would whip up for me. The pattern is reminiscent of the 60s & 70s patterns that were “funky” and “groovy”. If there was color to the images I can imagine it being orange and yellow. Not only does it remind me of the blanket but the patterns in the cartoon show called The Powerpuff Girls, at the end when they will line up against the hearts and different shapes.
This texture is rough and cold. It seems very rigid if it were to be touched since each shape is different and has certain points. This texture reminds me of the horror movie called Jeepers Creepers due to the metal like look. This texture looks extremely jaggy and rugged due to its inconsistency.

STEP4: LOST & FOUND FINAL

AMBIGUOUS

Gum Fossilized On the Floor: Looking for ambiguous things in the urban life wasn’t as hard as I thought it would, obvious and ambiguous figures are everywhere we look in streets and train stations. Especially on the floors! Sometimes you just have to be bored enough to realize there is fossilized gum from about 10 years just stuck in the floor.

OBVIOUS

Pollution on Domino Park: After a long day of work I used to take walks through Domino Park, sit in the rocks and calm myself a little bit, I realized that the humans pollute by instict and we can hurt our planet without even noticing. Going green and helping the planet its really popular on social media, but how real it is in real life?

For me this picture has a lot of meaning, as soon as I saw the glass with all the other rocks and being in contact with the water I thought that this was a perfect set for this project. Its interesesting how my face is also reflected in the glass while I was taking the picture.

obvious klever quinde lost and found

Andrea was in a rush. She quickly scurried around her apartment making a mess of things. She was always late and was determined to prove her friends wrong when they said she’d be the last one to dinner. She quickly threw on any outfit she could find. All black always works right? She was always one to take time with her makeup, but today was different. She was pressed for time. Not taking time to properly blend the copious amount of makeup she had thrown out in a rush. She dashed out the door in such a hurry she dropped her phone. As she bend to pick it up you wouldn’t believe it she dropped her face…. yes all her makeup had fallen off her face. Its a story she tells to this day.

Ambiguous klever quinde

Amir & Paco had never been to New York before. They went everywhere and did everything, on the last leg of their adventure they visited the empire state building. They climbed the 102 stories and were captivated by the view. Then a thought crossed Pacos mind, what if they threw a penny off the top of the empire state. Amir was worried, what if it hit someone. Paco didn’t listen, he flung the penny off the building. They both peeked to see what happened and as the penny hit the pavement they heard a BOOM! They ran down the building only getting a glimpse of the damage they had caused. Never to return to the scene of the crime.
